This page lists in alphabetical order the major data items and external entities used in the simulator.
- Author
- The creator of an incident script.
- CAD Display
- A graphical presentation of events occurring in the simulation.
- CAD Message
- A communication from the CAD Server describing status of CHP Units and inident events.
- Developer
- The person with knowledge of the traffic model that can provide details of traffic flow for use in the simulation.
- Highway Map
- The config/vds_data folder contains a reference file of input data giving the locations of all highway sensors in a certain region of the state highway network. Each line in the file identifies one sensor location and contains these fields: FWY Dir POSTMI LDS_ID VDS_ID LOOP_ID LOC LANE LOOP_LOC PARAMICS_NAME PARAMICS_LANE
- Highway Network Display
- An ASCII representation of the traffic events for verification by the developer.
- Highway Network Status Info
- The state of the highway model.
- Incidents
- One or more highway incidents being simulated such as an overturned produce truck or a vehicle collision.
- Incident Script
- An xml file describing all the incidents to be presented during a simulation run.
- Phone Numbers
- Phone numbers of relevant agencies for reference by trainees during a training session.
- Properties
- Configuration settings by which developers can control various parameters of the simulation.
- Simulated Traffic Sensor Data
- Data representing simulated highway traffic sensors that provide realtime state of traffic conditions at specific points in the highway roadway.
- Traffic Conditions
- The state of the traffic network in a form ready for graphical display.
- Traffic Events
- An internal representation traffic flow details.
- Traffic Flow Details
- Human readable but encoded form of stopped, slowed, or free flowing traffic that will be incorporated into the highway model.
- Trainee
