Event editor window closing behaves unexpectedly for new events

When a new event is created, the event editor window appears, and if the window close button is clicked after entering no data, the dialog closes, but the event is still created on the timeline. This may seem odd in the case where the user clicked the wrong event button and expected that after entering no data in the form that the cancel button would cancel event creation.

In the case where the user created an event as a placeholder and they intend to return to it at a later time to complete the form fields, they should close the dialog by clicking the "Save and close" button.
